Why Field Notes?

Donor care can be done well. In Field Notes for Ministry Workers, you'll find skills, encouragement, and trainings to communicate well with your supporters. As someone who has raised support and studied communication for years, I can guide you to communicate well and connect better with your donors--building a strong support network for the important work you do!

Our community is made up of Jesus followers who are (mostly!) US-based and fundraise their salaries. Field Notes is an upstream solution to the problem of ministry workers leaving the field due to lack of funding. If you learn good communication skills and practice them in community, you can enhance your support networks and feel skilled, equipped, and encouraged to do the work God has called you to.

The vision

We’re focused on learning skills and practicing donor care (or "ministry partner development") in community so that you don't feel aimless or alone, but instead have support and strategies that work for your ministry and your season. 

Good communication is the foundation of any relationship, and by strengthening your communication skills, you'll have a stronger support network. You'll feel more supported, less alone, and you'll have a roadmap so you don't have to guess "how much," "how often," or "what should I write?" 

You'll have answers, clarity, and access to a professional communicator who has been in your shoes (support raising) and wants to help.

As a member of Field Notes for Ministry Workers you'll be able to:

• Learn good skills and strategies that will strengthen your ministry partner relationships as you communicate with donors. 
• Connect with other ministry workers through monthly "Power Hour" calls to learn a quick tip and have accountable worktime to get things done.
• Gain ideas and practice rhythms that help you feel more skilled and empowered as you nurture your relationship with partners.
• Have access to a supportive network of people like you who understand the joys and challenges of ministry and fundraising.
